Once you've mastered the basics, take your family history research to the next level with strategies that will improve your approach to research.
If you've started your genealogy research and are looking to improve your methods and skills, this program is for you. This session covers strategies for improving your research. Topics include cleaning up your digital tree, staying organized, research quality, citing sources, and getting help. Each Intermediate Genealogy session is independent so you do not need to attend the second session to benefit from this one.
This session is aimed at people who have already started their family history research or have attended a Beginning Genealogy Workshop program in the past. You'll benefit most from this session if you have at least a little experience using: a digital family tree, databases like Ancestry or FamilySearch, and basic records like birth/marriage/death records, censuses, headstones, and/or obituaries.
