Grab your work apron and let’s get saw dusty in this beginner-friendly introduction to basic woodworking skills, taught by a master-level craftswoman! You’ll learn about wood as a raw material, how it's processed and best-practices for species types. Traditional woodworking methods are highlighted, using hand tools like block planes and braces to make either a cutting board -or- a simple plant stand. Taught by Krista Hoefle, Adult Programming Specialist, who has 20+ years of experience as a woodworker and teaching woodworking and furniture design on the college-level.
