Test your engineering skills by building your own catapult, a foil boat that can hold pennies and your own creations with Brain Flakes, Magna-Tiles, and more. Ages 8 - 12 are welcome.

Tinker, build and create in our library STEAM lab. Enjoy an art, science or engineering activity each month.

Activities include: 

  • Construct a catapult using rubber bands, popsicle sticks and a spoon.  Test how far you can catapult small objects.
  • Design a small boat from foil, launch on water and see how many pennies you can add before it sinks.   
  • Free building with Brain Flakes, Magna-Tiles and Interlox Squares
