Schedule of Events:
10:00 - Circle round to enjoy a read-aloud of picturebooks about libraries, plus rhymes and songs that build on practices that prepare children to learn to read. Recommended for ages 3 - 5. Families are welcome.
11:00 - A music performance from local folk artist Dena Woods
11:30 - Start your memoir, a journal, or family history. Freelance writer and librarian Tisa Birdette leads writing exercises so you can capture your unique stories just waiting to be told. Journals provided.
12:00 - Learn about the art of oral storytelling, listen to 2-3 folktales performed aloud, and enjoy listening to accompanying folk songs on the ukulele.
