Join Storytelling Librarian Lindsay Taylor for a festive journey into Polish holiday traditions! Discover the symbolism of hand-made ornaments, as you craft your own decorations to take home.
You'll uncover the rich blend of folklore, family customs, and artistry that make Polish celebrations so memorable.
Participants will make ornamental paper cuttings called wycinanki as well as straw ornaments. We’ll also sample Polish holiday foods like kiefli cookies, rye bread with butter/farmer’s cheese, and fruity traditional kompot drink!
