Join us for this two part Email Basics Workshop. Learn to set up an account, send and organize messages, and some basic safety tips.
Discover the essentials of email communication in this two part Email Basics Workshop! Learn how to set up an email account, send and receive messages, manage your inbox, and organize emails. We will cover the key features of email, including attaching files and using CC and BCC, as well as how to avoid common pitfalls like email scams and phishing attempts. At the end, we'll also begin to explore filter bubbles and bias in media. By the end of this workshop, you'll be comfortable managing your email with ease and confidence.
Session one takes place on January 13th and Session two on January 20th at the Centre Branch at 10:30 AM.
Can’t make both sessions? No worries! The second session builds on the first, but each can be attended on its own.
Participants will be provided with a laptop for use during the workshop — there is a limit of 10 provided. Bringing your own device is encouraged, but not necessary.
