Stay safe in the digital world with our two part Cybersecurity Workshop! This session is designed to help individuals understand the key principles of online security and how to protect personal and sensitive information from cyber threats. You’ll learn about common cybersecurity risks such as phishing, malware, and identity theft, and gain practical tips on how to recognize and avoid these threats. We’ll also dabble into misinformation/disinformation and AI. Whether you’re new to cybersecurity or looking to grasp the essentials, this workshop will equip you with the tools and strategies to stay safe in an increasingly connected world.
Session one takes place on February 3rd and Session two on February 10th at the Western Branch at 10:30 AM.
Can’t make both sessions? No worries! The second session builds on the first, but each can be attended on its own.
Participants will be provided with a laptop for use during the workshop — there is a limit of 10 laptops provided. Bringing your own device is encouraged, but not necessary.
