Explore hands-on beat production, enjoy a rap performance of a children's storybook, and get on the mic and learn how to freestyle! With local musicians ReminisceX and HeyZeus.

This is a fun, interactive literacy and music program designed to make reading cool again! We combine beat-making, storytelling, and self-expression to help kids connect with books through rhythm, rhyme, and creativity. Each session invites participants to: Learn the basics of beat production using beginner-friendly tools. Watch and participate as we “rap” a children’s storybook, turning reading time into a live musical performance. Step up to the mic for a 60-second freestyle challenge — every child brave enough earns a turn in our Mystery Box of Prizes!
