Pack your bags and jump aboard the exploration station! Kids will focus on a combination of acting and technical theatre to understand how props, costumes, lighting, and setting play their part in telling the story on the stage. Kids will be given a fun-filled challenge. The mission: An array of intriguing objects will be placed before them. The kids will then find a way to bring them into the theatrical universe of the scenes they create.
Creative Drama is an integrative process that develops imaginative thought and creative expression in children. Through the use of movement, pantomime, improvisation, story dramatization and group discussion, children acquire language and communication skills, social awareness, problem-solving abilities, self-concept enhancement, and an understanding of theatre.
