The South Bend Symphony and Fischoff National Chamber Music Association, along with Euclid Quartet, share a sneak peek into their upcoming performance of Quarter Days by composer Anna Clyne.

A preview event not to be missed! 

Join the Euclid Quartet, along with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and the Fischoff National Music Association as they explore their exciting collaboration, concert and eagerly anticipated world premiere of Anna Clyne’s Quarter Days.

South Bend’s premiere music makers, the South Bend Symphony and Fischoff National Chamber Music Association, have joined forces to commission an incredible new piece for string quartet and chamber orchestra featuring the acclaimed Euclid Quartet. Anna Clyne, one of the most in-demand living classical composers, has crafted a piece capturing the intimacy of the string quartet and the grandeur of the symphony.

Clyne uses her signature style of garnering inspiration from other art forms, in this case, T.S. Eliot’s reflection on time in “Burnt Norton” from Four Quartets. This concert celebrates the gift time has brought with decades of incredible music making in South Bend, as this year marks Fischoff’s 50th and South Bend Symphony Orchestra’s 90th anniversaries since each were founded. Quarter Days serves as a testament to the shared aims of both organizations in advancing classical music internationally.

We invite curious music lovers to hear excerpts from the concert and prepare your ears for this musical feast which will occur on Sunday, October 22 at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Tickets available here.
