Becoming Neighbors, A Refugee’s Journey

Learn about the refugee experience through an interactive cross-cultural simulation exercise. Registration recommended but not required.

The United Religious Community will provide an interactive cross-cultural simulation exercise from 10:30 to noon, followed by a short debrief and then a look at how refugees that come to the US are approved and how URC and co-sponsor volunteers help set them up for life in greater South Bend. The exercise being used is called Bafa Bafa, which is a research-based training, and participants are asked to commit to the full 1½ hour time shown below
