Celebrate Read Across America with fun activities! Enjoy partner reading with an Notre Dame Book Buddy, decorating a hot-air balloon, and munching a yummy snack. Ages 7 - 11 are welcome.

ND Book Buddies is a collaboration between the library and the Notre Dame Student Government and Student-Athlete Advisory Council with the goal of fostering a love of reading.  Kids can bring their favorite book to read together with a student or choose from books provided by the library.  

Launched in 1998 by the National Education Association (NEA) and guided by a committee of educators, NEA’s Read Across America is the nation’s largest celebration of reading. This year-round program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources that are about everyone, for everyone.  For more information, visit the NEA website.
