Learn about math, temperature, measurements and chemical reactions in this STEAM lab by cooking up some pancakes! Enjoy the flapjacks at the end of the lab and take home a recipe card. Ages 8-12.

-Watch a demonstration on how we create CO2 with our ingredients - how do pancakes get so fluffy?

-Divide fractions to figure out a recipe for one serving

-Measure and mix your ingredients and make observations about the chemical reaction

-Measure the temperature of the cooking surface for optimal reactivity. 

-Learn some basic food safety tips

-Enjoy your flapjacks with syrup and chocolate chips (optional)

*Recipe is dairy free and egg free
