Each winter, creative minds in grades 3–12 are invited to unleash their inner sneakerhead in the Library’s Fresh New Kicks contest! Submissions are accepted January 6 – February 3.

Pick up a blank shoe template at your local branch or download from our website, bring your boldest ideas to life with your own custom design, and you could win a gift card toward your next favorite pair of kicks.

Submissions are accepted January 6 – February 3, and winners will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram the first week of March 2026. A winner and two runner-ups will be selected from each age group: Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12.
