Learn the inspiring story of Civil Rights icon Ruby Bridges through the power of the arts. Friday's performance will include a community conversation about the role of race and arts in education.
These performances will kick off the library's series of programs focused on the themes of the One Book, One Michiana community read selection (Just Mercy). Look for other events throughout April. Learn more about the Dickinson Fine Arts Academy, Ruby Bridges, and the musical.
The Leighton Auditorium in the Community Learning Center at the library seats 250 people. Availability will be on a first come, first served basis and doors will open 15 minutes before each performance.
The Friday show will be taking place after hours. The Main Library will be closed at 5 PM but the new Community Learning Center (CLC) will be open. Please enter the CLC through either the corner entrance by St. Joe Coffee Co. or the S. Michigan Street Auditorium Lobby Entrance.
