Join us as we partner with Oaklawn & SJC Cares to bring a series of programs focused on mental & emotional health to every SJCPL location!

We are so excited to partner with Oaklawn & SJC Cares to bring a summer full of programs focused on mental and emotional health awareness. Here at Francis Branch we will have a presentation on "Strength" Training. Here is what you can expect from this program:

"Hear from Leslie Weirich, local suicide prevention advocate, about how youth and adults can identify their unique strengths and how to lean into those strengths when hard times come. Leslie will share her personal story of losing her son, Austin, to suicide, discuss why young people in particular are at greater risk for suicide and other mental health issues, and offer practical tools for youth and caring adults to put into practice immediately."
