OBERflot Recorder Consort will join us for a small performance in the Storyhouse. They will  be performing a mix of popular and folk music arranged for recorder.

OBERflote recorder ensemble is a group of local music educators and retired musicians who play recorders ranging from the soprano that most of the group know from elementary school down to a great bass recorder, which is more than four feet long. The group is delighted to play these beautiful instruments for new audiences; many people are not aware of the recorder's beauty and flexibility. During the months of November and December they focus on Renaissance and Christmas music for the St. Mary's madrigal dinners, but in the summer their music ranges from jazz favorites to modern pop covers. This family-friendly concert will also include some favorites from classic rock and South African folk traditions.
