In this cooking program, learn how to assemble Vietnamese summer rolls made with rice paper wraps and fresh produce. Make you own dipping sauce from scratch and enjoy! Recommended ages 8-12.
While making these rolls with fresh produce, participants will learn about the concept of fast food. There are many fresh and healthy options for quick and portable foods! We will be using the library's new Charlie Cart to teach peeling and chopping vegetables. Then you will assemble your rolls and mix your own dipping sauce. Ingredients we will be using are subject to availability but may include: rice paper wrappers, avocados, basil, cilantro, mint, cucumbers, carrots, lime, garlic, rice wine vinegar, agave and soy sauce.
