Join the South Bend Symphony Orchestra for a magical afternoon of stories, music, and creativity at Tales + Tunes! On Saturday, June 27th from Noon to 1:30 PM, the Main Library's Story House will come alive as South Bend Symphony musician and author Diana Shelton Ford and illustrator Lee Bauman bring their beloved children's book, Long Neck Lucy Learns the Watusi, to life!
Travel the world through story, song, and dance as Diana and the main character, Lucy, takes young readers on a delightful journey filled with charming rhymes and beautiful illustrations. Following the interactive storytelling, children will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on craft activity, as well as try their hand at some step-by-step drawings with illustrator Lee Bauman. Autographed copies of their book will also be available for purchase.
