Create your own bookmark or bracelet out of leather. Customize with fun images, emojis and letters, dye the leather a color of your choosing, and buff for a smooth finish. Ages 12-18 recommended.

A professional leatherworking artist will show you how to use tools to create your own bookmark or bracelet out of genuine leather. You will use debossing techniques (almost like a stamp), dye the leather a color of your choosing, and buff for a smooth finish.

ARTIST BIO FOR ELIZABETH O’LEARY OF UNDERCOVER POPULAR

Indiana Leather Artist Elizabeth O’Leary has spent the past several years
transforming her skills from the digital world to physical craftsmanship.
Originally a video producer and writer in Chicago, O’Leary blended her
creative storytelling skills with her 10 years of upcycled mixed media
collage experience, bringing about a perfect marriage of her two passions.
O’Leary’s evolution into leatherworking introduced another element to
further extend the range of her creative expression. Her use of collage
challenges the boundaries of traditional leather making in new ways. By
utilizing upcycled and found objects, punctuated with unique hardware, she
tells stories through her creatively handmade leather fashion handbags,
jewelry and accessories.
Her work is inspired by funky geometric shapes, superior craftsmanship and
graphic composition. Using old world techniques combined with an eye for
today’s vibe, her work is focused on creating bold, beautiful and layered
pieces that showcase her love of classic style with a touch of whimsy.
Custom orders gladly accepted.
