Free tax assistance for low and middle income (less than $60k) individuals provided by students from the University of Notre Dame and Saint Mary's College. Click to read full eligibility requirements.

Registration required. Limited spots available. If filing jointly, you only need to register for one slot.

Registration for each session opens 2 weeks prior to session date. Register online or by calling 574-282-4646.

Please note: you must bring your original Social Security card. 

The eligibility requirements for tax assistance are as follows:

  • Must be a US citizen or resident
  • Income must be less than $60,000
  • We will prepare federal and Indiana tax returns 
  • Both taxpayers must be present if filing a joint tax return. However, you only need to register one time.
  • We cannot prepare tax returns if:
    • income from rental property
    • taxpayers in bankruptcy
    • taxpayers who receive cancellation of indebtedness income (Form 1099-C)
    • business owners who have a net loss or business expenses in excess of $35,000
    • business owners who claim home office deductions
    • business owners who claim depreciation
    • business owners who have employees
    • business owners who keep inventory
