The daughter of Mexican and Cuban immigrants, Yvonne Castañeda, LICSW is a bilingual and bicultural clinical social worker, author, educator, and spiritual care facilitator whose work bridges the heart, mind, and soul. As the founder of SoulFuerza Counseling, she provides culturally responsive psychotherapy rooted in compassion, truth, and deep respect for the human experience. Yvonne draws on her extensive background in clinical and macro social work, integrative healing practices, and leadership development to serve individuals, families, and communities. Currently, she serves as the Director of Community-Based initiatives at Boston College School of Social Work, where she strengthens partnerships with nonprofits and faith-based organizations to address systemic inequities. Yvonne also teaches graduate courses on social work practice, policy, and Latinx populations at BC and is a beloved facilitator of pastoral care and counseling for St. Meinrad’s Seminary and School of Theology, where she creates space for faith, healing, and personal growth. A certified life coach, EMDR therapist, and yoga teacher, Yvonne brings an embodied holistic approach to healing. Through every role, Yvonne leads with love, guided by the belief that healing is both a personal and collective journey.
