In celebration of World Refugee Day, Pastor Ndunge A. Sefu speaks on his experiences with refugees and the positive role that refugees play in their host societies.
Ndunge A. Sefu is from Kikwit, a town in southwestern Democratic Republic of Congo, and has lived in Angola, Namibia, South Africa, and the United States. He is married to his wife Micheline, and together they have a 16-year-old son and a 14-year-old daughter. Ndunge and his family live on the campus of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart where he is pursuing a Master's degree in Theology and Peace studies. He is an ordained pastor, and has served as assistant pastor at Table View Baptist Church in Cape Town South Africa while completing his bachelor's degree in Theology from Cape Town Baptist Seminary. Ndunge holds a bachelor's degree in economic science, and held various management roles in the corporate world in Cape Town, South Africa, including serving as customer service manager at Shell Global Customer service and Amazon.com. Mr. Sefu has great passion for music (he plays guitar and sings) and football/soccer (he is a die hard Manchester United fan). In his free time, he loves spending time outdoors, hiking and spending time with his family.
